Why did we change our name?
We used to be 'Lice Help 4U.' We found that using the word 'lice' in our name made many clients uncomfortable as they didn't want anyone to know they were in contact with us.
They didn't want to write anything about 'lice' on their checks, they didn't want 'lice' to show up on their credit card statement, and they didn't want to leave their name on our answering machine for fear we'd call back and say the 'L' word on their answering machine.
When we realized this (we DIDN'T for about a year and a half ... DUH!), we decided to change to a name less descriptive of our business ... and when we received our 501(c)(3) status, we thought it was a good time to change ... as we were changing our bank accounts, business cards, etc. So we are now Cleopatra's Comb ... giving a hint we have something to do with hair ... and maybe even something glamorous! :-)
